give it a try, just dont select ANY packages and dont use dselect when u
install, just install the base and then pcmcia,
in the debian installer you can go out to a console and partition your disks
using good old fdisk, or you can do it via cfdisk in the installer, either way,
if you spend the first few steps of your install enabling swap partitions then
you should be ok (unless you have a really small disk)
