[Gllug] Modem problem

Hi

I have an old Gigabyte 440bx based box and an external analogue modem. 
When I query the modem on ttys2 with KPPP it connects runs the command 
ATI 1 through 7 but no values are returned nor any error. I have tried 
two modems that works fine under my other systems so the problem is that 
box. Anyone got an idea what could be wrong?
