Did it have a reply-paid envelope included?  If it did, you can seriously 
abuse it - tape it to something roughly envelope-shaped but quite heavy, and 
post it to them.  They'll have to pay for the weight of your attached item, 
and if a few folks do this, it might dissuade them.  

Incidentally, this is a great way to get rid of all the postal spam that you 
get if a "friend" thinks it's funny to subscribe you to a Readers Digest 
mailing list!
