Since you supplied the process ID from 'fuser', then I assume another simple
way of killing the offending process would be:
kill -9 pid    (where pid = the process number given by fuser)

I too have hear of the paperclip gambit, but have never tried it on a 'live'
drive.  Never poke things into holes unless you know knew exactly what is
inside them !!
