Worse still, after a few years of being vegetarian, the *smell* of
cooked meat becomes repugnant. Makes family dinners a bit of a pain -
someone's gone to the trouble to acquire/produce some veggie food for
you, and you're not hungry because of the stench of charred flesh
hanging in the air...

There's also the quite bizarre Tivoli foods - these are pork/ham/veal
substitutes designed (as far as I can tell) for people who have become
more religious than they used to be (or possibly just moved to
Israel). Yes, you too can eat vegetarian schnitzel...
