[Gllug] linux usb mass storage

Hi Folks,

Recently my Creative nomad MuVo player has taken a dislike to linux, i have had
to preformat it using the windows program for it to get it to play again,

I noticed a slight corruption of the mp3's on the drive after using it on
linux. fsck seemed to tell me that the FATs were out of sync, 

all after proper sync. umount etc, has anyone else noticed occasional
corruption on usb mass storage devices?
