Hello,

I have a problem with sybase. I have installed it using the RPMs
(http://www.sybase.com/detail?id=1011127 , thanks evangineer) and it
seems to run OK, but the developer can't connect from his machine. It
is definatly listening, here is the relevant netstat entry:

bash-2.04$ netstat -al
Active Internet connections (servers and established)
Proto Recv-Q Send-Q Local Address Foreign Address State
tcp 0 0 10.0.1.10:4100 *:* LISTEN

but although I can log into it from the local machine:

bash-2.04$ isql -S test -U sa
Password:
1> quit

I also can't access it from a different host:

[root at development /opt]# sybase-11.9.2/bin/isql -S test -U sa -H 10.0.1.25
Password:
CT-LIBRARY error:
ct_connect(): directory service layer: internal directory
control layer error: Requested server name not found.

Any ideas on this? I just cannot see what the problem could be. This
is the content of my interfaces file:

test
         master tcp ether test.linguaphone 4100
         query tcp ether test.linguaphone 4100

if it helps.

Thanks
Will.
