This does sound concerning,

it could point to someone having 0wned your distro!

i suggest you go to your home dir and do this :

#> grep -R www.hoovers.com *

and do it on your dotfiles aswell, If it doesnt come up in your config files
somwhere try doing the same thin in /usr
