Think of all the proprietry code in your bios ;-)

It works, the driver that comes with X works aswell, but sadly isnt quite as
nippy int he opengl department. 

I use debian because i believe it is an excellent distro with the best 
package managment system around and the general quality of packages and 
documentation is very high.

would you rather i use SuSe ;-)
