I know for a fact that ClearCase under Linux is complete crap when it
comes to stability & despite easily reproducable test cases which cause
kernel panics they've been unable to get their act together and fix it.
The Windows port is hampered by the fact they are trying to implement
UNIX filesystem module ontop of something that has no such concept. Solaris 
is the only platform on which its pretty good.

If your version control software isn't reliable in day-to-day basic use,
then the gain some whatever fancy features it provides is quickly cancelled 
out by lost productivity (not to mention lost code during the crashes)
