That's because they profess to `not care' about licenses, and whenever
anyone points out the gross licensing nightmares that MPlayer is full
of, they threaten to pick up their toys and go home.

It's wisest to consider MPlayer unredistributable. Personally, I
consider it unusable from a UI POV, too, so I don't install it and all
is well...
