And lets not forget the original removal of the nVidia drivers from the
XFree86 source tree. At the 11th hour before the Xfree86 release (3.3?)
nVidia replaced their driver code in CVS with deliberately obfuscated
source. The XFree86 guys refused to ship it, and gave nVidia the choice
of removing the code, or reverting to the previous version. They removed
the code, and have done pretty much nothing for the community since,
AFAIK.
