[Gllug] OT: Digital video cameras

Hi All,

I'm looking to get a digital camcorder. Does anyone have any relevant 
experience or comments to pass on? I'd be using it for general 
domestic/personal stuff and holidays. Looking through online reviews 
and talking to sales people can only get you so far, after all.

Also, is there a shop anywhere that will actually let me see the things 
in operation, do you know?

Any info would be gratefully received.
