4Gb is definitely a limitation of the FAT32 file system, but I don't know
about whether the OS will enforce that limit when reading/writing to/from a
Samba share from a system which has no such limitation.

Like so much in the Windows world, common sense tells me it shouldn't, but
experience tells me it will!
