Well, maybe, but in practice a lot of computers have USB these days.
USB mass storage devices which take CF cards cost under a tenner.  All
serious operating systems support USB mass storage.  Out of all the
computers I own, just two of them don't have USB - an old laptop, and
a Sun Ultra 5[1].  In fact I have more computers that don't have
floppy drives.

Well, in my world, yes - they pretty much all do!

[1] Any tips on getting a USB card for the Sun most appreciated (it
runs Debian/sparc).
