Yeah, the fact that DJB's licensing terms don't permit re-packaging
or re-distribution of modified sources pretty much kill his software
dead as OSS projects. I might still be using QMail if I were allowed
to package it up & provide it in RPM form, or change its layout to
conform to the filesystem layouts standards or switch out its startup
process to use SysV init instead of daemontools. Its a shame, because
its generally very good software, just handicapped by (the typically
academic trait) of blind desire for perfection / 'the right way' instead
of realworld ease of use.
