Not all mail systems work the same way. For example, mh based readers
(nmh, exmh, sylpheed) need to incorporate mail into an mh folder on
arrival. That can't be done concurrently without corruption, so all
of my procmail recipes have locks to ensure only one message is being
added at a time. In Ben's case, though, he's just writing to a file,
so the locks shouldn't be necessary.
