Yeah, I quite agree.  Web applications are a different school of fish of
course: they tend to be built for a specific user set and the specific needs
of those users can be considered when the application is designed.  I'm not
against pop-ups per se, I just believe that they need to be used with
caution if they are to be used at all :o)
