Any reason why you would suggest these formats over CF?  In my 
experience, CF is always cheaper and it's certainly more ubiquitous in 
devices.  And besides, I already have two of them for my digital camera.

SD:  34.37

You have just invalidated most of my reasons :)

1) You have devices already that use them.
2) You have several (2??) cards already.

These two reasons make it a smart thing to keep using CF cards and
devices.

My arguments were going to be as follows:

1) CF card format is older and will probably be phased out before SD so
if you are starting new better to start with SD.

3) More products are coming out that support SD rather than CF.

2) Price Difference is minimal

4) SD cards are smaller.

5) I have seen "USB Pen drive" sized SD card readers, CF card readers
are more like cigarette pack sized.

That's it really.
