   Debian and its new installer are changing very rapidly as they sort the
last few bugs prior to the official release of Sarge, so you need to use a
very recent version of the installer, within the last day or so if possible.
They are trying to sort difficulties introduced as hardware detection
switches from Discover to Discover 2, there are also big differences between
the recent kernels 2.4 and 2.6. Trying to compare the latest kernels with
something from November 2002 is asking for lots of problems. Even Knoppix is
now up to version 3.6.
   Please send a report, good or bad, to the installer development team so
that they can further improve the installer, they are very keen to sort any
remaining bugs.
