The key combination? Personally, I just press the dot key on my keyboard.
That gives me a nice ASCII U+002E. Or were you wanting one of the more
exotic alternatives? For example:

	U+00B7 -- a middle dot
	U+02D9 -- a dot above
	U+0307 -- a combining dot above
	U+05B9 -- a hebrew point holam
	U+06D4 -- an arabic full stop
	U+06EC -- an arabic rounded high stop with filled centre
	U+2022 -- a bullet dot
	U+2024 -- a dot leader
	U+2027 -- a hyphenation point
	U+2219 -- a bullet operator
	U+22C5 -- a dot operator
	U+3002 -- an ideographic full stop
	U+30FB -- a katakana middle dot

There are plenty to choose from...
