[Gllug] Adaptec 2010S RAID revisited

A couple of weeks ago I asked on list if anyone else
was using an ADaptec 2012S zerochannel RAID adapter.

The issue was whether or not these have hot-swap.

I brought a second replacement disk along for the system in question
yesterday (we had a planned maintenance opportunity).
Slotted the disk in, it got recognised, and a rebuild commenced.
Top marks to Adaptec.

The moral of the story being - don't always assume a replacement part is
working properly itself.
