Definitely wrong of me to not register James was after a very specific PSU, 
and I would not suggest anyone visit either chain in the hope of nailing any 
make and model together.

I notice that the PSU's manufacturer suggests dabs.com as their only online 
retailer within the UK:

It depends on what you expect from suppliers. I expect to get branded goods, 
to get the model I need or their near-equivalents, I expect to get them from 
reasonably nearby stores (as I travel throughout London each day) and I 
expect to have no trouble from their returns policy. Maplins and PCW have met 
those very limited conditions just fine for some time.
