I LOVE maplin!!!

I tried to recently buy a soldering station (Antex for £100). Was even
prepared to take the one in the cabinet, without the instructions (it was
£50 cheaper than RS!! And I already have one), but they refused to sell it
to me. I said can I order one then... no. so do I have an alternative?...
'we have these on special offer..£4.99!!!!'. Talk about thick!!!!

I had the misfortune to be in there today, and I think he's gone. The
kiddies
behind the "components" counter couldn't actually operate their computer
terminal correctly, and couldn't either confirm or deny stock of several
common components (in this case, fuses). After several frustrating minutes
(I really needed the fuses NOW!), I left the shop, and I won't be going
back....
