[Gllug] ibook problems

I know a few others here have ibooks and was wondering
if others had the same problems as me. I've got about
5 of them and 4 of them are dead at the moment.

My first worked for 6 months and then started having
hard drive problems, apple just told me to reinstall
and I lost all my work and reinstalled since the machine
wouldn't start up. It reinstalled and then worked
for 2 months and had another hard drive problem,
I managed to get it replaced after losing my work yet
again and this took 6 weeks. In the meantime I had bought
another ibook which worked for 1 month before the screen
died and had a logic board failure and this was sent back.
I then bought another as an instant replacement which
worked for another month before the mouse stopped
working. Also we have another one here in the office
that also has hard drive problems and needs a reinstall
every 2 months.

Each time I have a problem it also involves 3 hours
on the phone to apple who always try and get me to reinstall
even when the machine won't power on. 2 of the ibooks
I got out of repair have now broken again after only a
month, one with screen problems (apparently it has a logic
board problem according to apple) and one just hangs on boot
up from a cd or hd.

Quite frustrating since I end up not having a home
computer for 2 months when it breaks.

Is this isolated and are powerbooks better!?
