Sure, been there, done that. When I first started using Linux, networking
hadn't been added yet. Which at the time wasn't a problem, as I didn't
have anything to network it to. Running a getty over a serial line to my
Amiga and my DEC Rainbow was the extent of my intermachine communication
in those days.
