[Gllug] CD Writing

   Thanks for all the responses, I was testing the CD's on a very well used
40x reader which is due to be replaced, and failed most times, and a
second-hand 8x drive. The 8x drive works perfectly with some old max 8x
blanks burnt at 8x but failed with the recent 52x speed blanks burnt at any
speed including 8x (the slowest speed I can get from the drive). Some other
drives seem happy to read any of the CD's, so I wondered whether the Sony
burner was compensating for any writing speed changes I made, while the old
drive just had trouble with the new blanks.
   I burnt some bootable ISO images to the new blanks, none of which worked
in the 8x reader and gave no media present errors, but I have discovered
that other discs burnt recently do boot in the same drive.
