Trying an older version of Freeduc (1.4.1) and it's come up.  Software
versions on it are pretty creaky though (2003 vintage).  The old GTK+
version of XFce isn't very attractive either.  Not the best thing for
what will often be a first exposure to Linux.  I'm very tempted to do
a remaster of Kanotix, but really can't spare the time.
