No. Ab hominem attacks are a poor substitute for the truth.

Let's review the *facts*. 

Bombs go off this morning and none of us were in any position to make
any sort of statement about how or why that had happened, but that did
not stop people suggesting that Charles Clarke would immediately state
that the attacks justified ID cards and then others went on to suggest
that the government would use the attacks to launch a racist campaign or
various other totalitarian schemes.

I have not expressed any view on ID cards on this list, just challenged
the MO of some people who post here.

In response it was then stated that I had said ID cards would "solve"
terrorism. I have said no such thing. I subsequently asked for somebody
to give me an example of either myself or, for that matter, any member
of the government making such a claim, nobody has been able to produce
an example of either.
