Yes, and they have had NO effect on terrorism.  Fake ID cards are widely on 
sale in the US - it's the way underage kids buy their booze - and so are 
useless.

Bliar's proposal for "ID Cards" is for the most complex "biometric" cards 
possible.  This "government" has absolutely no idea about anything 
technological, and will accept any snake oil offered, particularly if it's 
offered by one of their "preferred bidders".  

Every major project undertaken by this "government" has utterly failed - 
without exception.  Most of their schemes are "make work" - that's why there 
are more "managers" in the NHS than there are Doctors and Nurses.  

I'm getting thoroughly disillusioned - the bombings last week have added to my 
gloom - and if this country doesn't come to its' collective senses in the 
next short while, I'll be looking for somewhere quieter to live!
