re blackberries:

despite the sales waffle, you can use blackberries easily enough by setting
up a 'blackberry mail address' on the Network-providers mail-server (using
the web setup facility they provide).   You then simply send emails to
(for example):  tim1234 at mobileemail.vodafone.net

Only disadvantage I can see offhand is that emails FROM the blackberry come
from the blackberry address instead of the users normal address.

We simply divert emails for users to the blackberry addresses as and when
required.
