Are you able to mount the drive but not write to it, or can you not
mount it?

If you can't even mount it as root, then there are two likely
explanations:

	1.  You haven't loaded the modules necessary to access the
	floppy.
	2.  Your floppy drive is broken.

What does 'cat /proc/filesystems' tell you?  If your floppy disk is DOS
formatted, you need to  see "msdos" or "vfat" listed there.  If it
isn't, try doing 'modprobe vfat'.

What does /etc/fstab look like, btw?
