[Gllug] Overlaying images

Hi All,

I'm looking for an application which will take an image of a map and an 
aerial photograph and allow me to overlay one (the map) on the other 
(the photograph.) Ideally, I'd want to set reference points on each 
image and have the program calculate the scale and orientation 
differences for the overlaying. Does anyone know of anything which does 
this? I've played with gimp and looked on sourceforge but can't see 
anything suitable.
