Looks like someone needs to brush up on their SQL server...

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/223758

Maybe forward the link to their developers suggesting they use a Linux
platform instead..

Not a linux question, but a matter of general net security.

I tried subscribing to a magazine through myfavouritemagazines co uk,
and having submitted my address and credit card details, got the
following error message:

Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error '80040e14'

[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]Line 1: Incorrect syntax
near 'S'.

/store/secure/checkout4.asp, line 601

which did not make me happy. I've no idea how serious this message is
for me, but it seems prudent to assume the worst.

I've fired off an email (got an automated response), but am not sure if
there is anything else I should do, to protect myself in the event that
my account is emptied. Any advice for these situations?

And the magazine I was trying to subscribe to? Linux Format.

TIA

John
