There are some utilities that work locally and require no root
password. I can't remember which ones they are - but I was
experimenting the other day. And if wrongly set can damage the
stability of the Desktop - making it even hard to login. Obviously to
really destroy it - they just might as well issue rm -fr .* from the
console deleting all hidden .config files. But if they know that much
about Linux, the last thing they would be contemplating would be to
vandalize the system. I don't think any will do something intentional,
but they will fiddle around randomly until something breaks - and my
aim is to make it very fool-proof; or try my best. Otherwise my phone
will be ringing straight after handing the machine back.
