The clue's in the model number - MP is multipass!

If you can't get it going with the drivers provided in your distro, you 
can try www.turboprint.de - they have Linux print drivers for pretty 
much everything.  They want money for their drivers, but they work 
really well - I've used them successfully with various Canon and Epson 
printers that were otherwise useless!

Yes.  However, drivers for the scanner might be a little more difficult 
to find.
