Clock speeds are a near meaningless metric these days.  An opteron will 
easily outperform a pentium running at twice the clock speed. All higher 
clock speeds do is help Dell sell systems to people who know no better.

I still get the odd sales call from Dell.  They usually go along the 
lines of:

Me> Can you sell me a laptop without bundling Windows?
Dell> No.
Me> Can you sell me a non-Intel based server?
Dell> Err no.
Me> Bye!
