Probably quite a few things that will burn in C02, if they have a greater
affinity for Oxygen than Carbon  -  but its still the magnesium thats burning
not the C02  !

It was my feeble attempt at a joke anyway  !!

Incidentally,  were they talking originally about 10 Tonnes of Carbon or 10
Tonnes of C02?   - a big difference !!
