Oh, cool, didn't know about that.

Well, what you use to burn depends on what you got.

If you have a straight image of the DVD then you just use a tool like 
cdrecord to burn it to a blank CD.

If you want to edit the image then you'll need to use something like 
DVDRip to prune out the bits you don't need.  Then you have the joy of 
trying to reconstruct a usable DVD image from what's left.

Perhaps your DVD player support playing divx files?  If which was simply 
encode the movie part of the DVD using mencoder and burn the resulting 
file to DVD.
