OpenFiler is actually based on EL3 ... SteveD's comment #6 on
bugzilla#161362 quite clearly states the level of play w.r.t EL3 and
AsyncIO/NFS

This bugzilla and potential fix patch, are for EL4 ...

I had a quick look at that bugzilla and tracked the sources down. The
Patch does indeed interfere with a NFS bugfix patch included in the
kernel package.

And... fwiw, there is a new OpenFiler 2.0Beta ( which is EL4 based )
release due early next week, one option would be to wait for that,
install it - rebuild the -22.EL kernel with the fix-patch and see if you
can live without one ( or more ) of these fix's :

- nfs: Retry lookups after ESTALES (Steve Dickson) [164173]
- kNFSD: fixed '-p port' arg to rpc.nfsd and enables the defining prot
(Steve Dickson) [154533]
- fix "nfs bindresvport: Address already in use" messages for mounting
(Steve Dickson) [141773]
- nfs: intr flag prevents core dump (Steve Dickson)
- nfsd: make sure getxattr inode op is non-NULL before calling it.
- nfsd4: nfsd oopsed when encountering a conflict with a local lock
- nfsd4: fix putrootfh return
- nfsd: Insecure port warning shows decimal IPv4 address
- fix nfs-vs-selinux issue

OR, you could always just roll your sleves up and get into some code
trawling if you understand nfs code ( I, for one, dont )!!!

Lastly, pester SteveD and/or ChuckL for a proper fix.
