In an "enterprise" environment one is typically subject to "change 
control". Often such control is exercised by the, at best, 
unknowledgeable, but normally the terminally stupid.

As such, all updates have to be justified, often in words comprehensible 
to a 5 year old. And scheduled. They understand "schedule".

So automated updates just aren't on.
