What appears in /var/log/messages when you try and burn DVDs?

My DVD writer stopped writting DVDs recently and I noticed a bunch of
errors about Media Sense in /var/log/messages.  It turns out that the
lens was dirty as putting a CD cleaner in the drive fixed the problems.
