[Gllug] OT? DVD r problem

I have a a DVD R/RW/RAM drive which will still burn CDs but seems to
have given up burning DVDs (though it will still play them).


None of the software I have used seems to give any sort of diagnostic.
Anybody know a good way to test these things using standard nix tools?
