  I had the same trouble with my Belkin KVM and found this

  However, I popped down to my local PCWorld and found a more recent
  Belkin KVM which explicitly stated it worked with Linux. I've not had
  any problem since starting to use this. I also note that, although
  there are a lot of postings about this problem on the web, none of
  them have appeared in the last two years.

  One downside of the KVM I bought: it says it doesn't work with
  wireless mice and keyboards. Well, I thought, you can't have
  everything...
