Thanks

I have installed mythtv-0.19-i486, but it keeps giving me the following
error, something about database,.....

*****************

QSqlQuery::exec: database not open
QSqlQuery::exec: database not open
2006-04-07 12:00:40.097 DB Error (KickDatabase):
Query was:
SELECT NULL;
No error type from QSqlError? Strange...
2006-04-07 12:00:40.149 Database not open while trying to save setting:
Language
2006-04-07 12:00:40.151 Unable to connect to database!
2006-04-07 12:00:40.151 Driver error was [1/2002]:
QMYSQL3: Unable to connect
Database error was:
Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket
'/var/run/mysql/mysql.sock' (2)

So I installed mysql-4.1.14-i486-1, & after going through the
Mythtv/Mysql readme files, I realized that I have actually got to get
mysql up & running with my own bare hands :(

Honestly speaking I don't know much about databases, but still tried to
configure mysql using the docs (without much success...as I am still
getting the same error).

So can anyone please guide me on how to get mysql up & running???
Any pointer will also be appreciated..

Thanks again
Emon
