[Gllug] ADSL on BT phone wires

Well,   I was simply responding to an earlier post indicating that he wasn't
sure which 'leg' was which !!   Or maybe I misunderstood.


I would imagine that all modern modems including ADSL are polarity
insensitive, otherwise BT would not allow 'self-install' surely ??

ps:  I am no electrician,   but would I be right is assuming something
as simple as 4 diodes in a full-wave rectifier pattern on the input of the
modem would be all that is required to ensure polarity-insensitivity ?
(pure curiosity)
