We have several Windows server 2003 machines here and the MS ntp service
seems very poor at keeping sync (drifts >+- 1s back and forth within a
day!!) the machines we have synced from these servers are doubly poor.

We use some GPS receivers (with built in NTP) and ntp.demon.co.uk, all the
linux boxes seem to drift very very little.

We switched everything around so the Windows Servers synched from the
linux boxes in the DMZ, problem fixed. I discovered along the way that
switching off the MS ntp and installing an oss ntpd also worked very well
but the Windows people didn't like that solution!
