Thank you everyone. The Linux Emporium was slick and accurate. One Belkin
Card, delivered promptly and that worked straight out of the box with
minimum effort.

I've just loaded Ubuntu Dapper Drake onto an Advent laptop and am trying to
find a Wifi card that will work.
Are there known chipsets that I can quote to buy a card that Ubuntu will
recognise?
