As a Sales Manager myself I'd have to say yes the old adage of any exposure is 
good does hold true. I run an opt in mailing list trying to sell IT equipment 
and services I inadvertently sent a mail out with loads of spelling mistakes.

I got more responses than if I had sent something out really cheap people 
mailed and phoned to point out the errors. The point is they probably all sat 
waiting for the next mail to see if I made the same mistake again so that 
translates to increased interest in my book.
