PS Perhaps it's because I have *never* reinstalled my Debian servers 
yet#*? Unlike my SuSE, Red Hat, Slack, Mepis, FC boxes%...

# over 3 years now and not a minute of unplanned downtime, through two 
major version upgrades...

* actually I did reinstall once on a laptop after the drive died 
unexpectedly 6 months from new... does this count?

% Not tried Gentoo. Though we did win a Gentoo penguin to sponsor at 
London Zoo from IBM :)
